About artist

KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD
🔥 “A torchbearer of the modern blues.” – Guitar World

Thirty years ago, a Fender Strat-wielding teenager from Shreveport, Louisiana, brought the blues roaring back into the mainstream. Today, Kenny Wayne Shepherd stands as one of the most respected and electrifying guitarists in the world - a true bridge between classic and contemporary blues.

With five Grammy nominations, nine #1 blues albums, multiple Platinum and Gold records, and collaborations with legends like B.B. King, Van Halen, and The Rolling Stones, Shepherd’s impact on the genre is undeniable. His sound blends Texas fire with Louisiana soul, creating a style that’s both timeless and unmistakably his own.

In 2025–2026, Kenny Wayne Shepherd celebrates a major milestone - the 30th Anniversary of his breakthrough album “Ledbetter Heights” - re-recorded and reimagined with his long-time collaborators Noah Hunt and Chris “Whipper” Layton (of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble).

Shepherd’s career began with Ledbetter Heights (1995), a record that went Platinum within months and was ranked by Guitar World as one of the greatest modern blues albums. His follow-up, Trouble Is... (1997), spent 20 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Blues Chart, cementing his reputation as a modern icon.

Across twelve studio albums and countless tours worldwide, Shepherd continues to push the boundaries of blues rock while staying true to its heart. His music remains - as he says -“unfiltered and straight from the heart.”
